A little about our guest:

Director Ben Clark is a seasoned explorer and adventure filmmaker dedicated to stories of human resilience and environmental stewardship. His latest feature documentary, Preserved, offers a hopeful look at ecosystem restoration at the landscape level, focusing on a 558,000-acre expanse in Northern New Mexico. The film is currently screening across the country, so far in more than 50 markets with more than 55 featured nonprofits.

His previous work includes the acclaimed documentary The Snowman Trek, which chronicled the collaboration between Bhutanese locals and world-class ultrarunners to set the country's first speed record on the world's hardest trail. The film reached a wide audience with screenings in over 400 theaters.

A former Himalayan ski mountaineering pioneer—and still the youngest person to lead a successful Everest expedition on the North Side—Ben’s perspective is shaped by decades of observation in high altitudes—and how they have changed. A native of Tennessee, Ben is a member of the Protect Our Winters Creative Alliance.

MONTEREY POP - 50th Anniversary in 4K

ROCK TUESDAY | 1H 19M | RATED R | 1968

JULY 21

On a beautiful June weekend in 1967, at the beginning of the Summer of Love, the Monterey International Pop Festival roared forward, capturing a decade’s spirit and ushering in a new era of rock and roll. Monterey featured career-making performances by Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Otis Redding, but they were just a few of the performers in a wildly diverse lineup that included Simon and Garfunkel, the Mamas and the Papas, the Who, the Byrds, Hugh Masekela, and the extraordinary Ravi Shankar. With his characteristic vérité style—and a camera crew that included the likes of Albert Maysles and Richard Leacock—D. A. Pennebaker captured it all, immortalizing moments that have become legend: Pete Townshend smashing his guitar, Jimi Hendrix burning his, Mama Cass watching Janis Joplin’s performance in awe. This fiftieth-anniversary edition presents Monterey Pop in a new 4K restoration

A few factors we have to consider when choosing a movie:
We can request films we would like to show, but we don't always get what we want.

  • Because we are a one screen theatre, this can sometimes limit what we can show in conjunction with the first run of a film. We sometimes can only show that one movie and are unable to have two movies running in the same week. This being restricted by the movie studios we contract with for the films.

  • Runtime of the movie we show makes an impact on whether or not we can show one or two movies in a week.

  • Sometimes due to a limited # of theaters some movies can run at, we are mostly likely the last on the list to receive a movie, meaning we have to wait a bit longer for a select few movies.

Please understand our intention is to provide a larger variety of movies for all ages. If you have any suggestions or ideas please don't hesitate to contact us.
