A fixture of the New Orleans music scene for over two decades, The Iguanas' music is an infectious mix of America's musical heritage - Tejano and Conjunto sounds from the Texas/Mexico border region, as best exemplified by the accordion and bajo sexto, the American South's Blues, Jazz and New Orleans R&B, and the fiery passion of the music of the Caribbean and Mexico. Taking their cues from all of these influences and then some, The Iguanas redefine the notion of Americana, crossing cultures, styles, eras... and even languages. It's as if Rue Bourbon, Muscle Shoals and Plaza de Mexico were all within earshot of each other and The Iguanas were the musical conduit between them. It is not surpising then that the members of The Iguanas have (collectively or individually) played or recorded with everyone from Charlie Rich, Alex Chilton, and Willy DeVille to Emmylou Harris, Allen Toussaint, and Pretty Lights.

“The Delachaise Ensemble presents powerful cutting-edge and genre defying concerts, with performances that deliver daring energy and excitement.”
Since its formation in 2020, the Delachaise Ensemble is quickly establishing itself as one of the most innovative and exciting music groups in the greater New Orleans area and Gulf Coast region.
Featuring violinists Moises Cunha and Elizabeth Almond Cunha, violist Catherine Matushek, and cellist Jake Fowler as the core ensemble, the Delachaise Ensemble is a chamber music collective of New Orleans-based musicians dedicated to presenting accessible and innovative programs to the local community. The Delachaise Ensemble is the Ensemble-in-Residence with the Northern Neck Chamberfest in Virginia, and has also performed with the Crescent City Chamber Music Festival in New Orleans.
Passionate about cross-discipline artistic collaborations, the Delachaise Ensemble regularly collaborates with dancers, visual artists, composers, musicians across genres, and other artists. Recent projects include collaborations with the Marigny Opera Ballet and Melange Dance Company - the short film documenting the Hope Springs Eternal performance with the Melange Dance Company, was selected for the international climate film festival, Films of Return!, exploring issues related to the climate crisis. New music projects include performances by living composers and live performances of original music for silent films screenings.
